Quoting & booking terms

These explain our enquiry and quoting process. The written quote and arrangements agreed for your particular job set out the scope, price, dates and payment terms.

Enquiries and quotes

Website enquiries and initial discussions are free and do not reserve a date or commit you to work. Prices may need a site visit, measurements and confirmation of materials before a written quote can be provided. Your quote will state what is included and any exclusions.

Booking and deposits

Start dates, any deposit and its due date will be confirmed in writing for your project. Please do not assume a slot is booked until Oakside has confirmed the arrangements. Deposit requirements vary with the work and materials needed.

Materials and waste

The quote will confirm who supplies materials, fittings and finishes, and whether removal and disposal of old materials is included. Tell us before booking if you plan to supply any items yourself.

Changes and unforeseen work

If you request changes, or hidden damage or other unexpected work is found, we will discuss any effect on price and timing before agreeing additional work. Extra work should be agreed in writing.

Payments

The payment schedule, amounts and due dates will be stated in your quote or invoice. Contact us promptly if you have a query about an invoice.

Rescheduling and cancellation

Contact Oakside as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel the job. Any cancellation arrangements or costs will be explained for your specific booking and remain subject to your statutory rights. A deposit is not automatically non-refundable.

Your consumer rights

Nothing here limits your statutory rights. Where a statutory cooling-off period applies to a distance or off-premises contract, the cancellation information will be supplied with your booking. If you want work to begin during that period, this must be expressly agreed and the implications explained before work starts.
