Privacy & cookies
Who handles your information
Oakside Joinery is responsible for the customer information it uses. Contact us at oaksidejoinery@gmail.com or 07804 466225 about privacy or your personal information.
Information you give us
When you enquire, we may receive your name, phone number, email address, job postcode, project details and any photos or plans you send. Please avoid including people, private documents or unrelated personal information in project photos.
How the enquiry form works
The form sends your enquiry and selected photos directly to a private owner inbox. Enquiry records and uploaded photos are stored using our website hosting provider, Cloudflare. Only the authorised Oakside owner account can view enquiries and download attachments. You may alternatively contact us by email through Gmail.
Why we use your information
We use enquiry information to discuss your project, prepare a quote and arrange work. This is to take steps at your request before a contract and, when work is agreed, to perform that contract. We also use relevant records to meet accounting obligations and for our legitimate interests in managing customer communications and resolving queries or disputes. We do not use this form to subscribe you to marketing.
Sharing and service providers
Our website hosting and email providers process information needed to deliver their services. Relevant job details may be shared with trades involved in your project when needed to quote, coordinate or complete the work. We do not sell your information. Providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable transfer safeguards.
How long information is kept
Enquiry information is kept while the enquiry is active and for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up or resolving a query. If work goes ahead, relevant job and payment records are retained for applicable accounting requirements and any outstanding dispute. You can contact us to ask about the records held for your enquiry or request deletion where it applies.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your information, object to certain uses, or request a portable copy. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and website statistics
We ask before recording optional statistics. If you choose Allow statistics, we record the date, page path and an aggregate page-view count. We do not create visitor profiles or use advertising trackers. Daily counts are kept for up to 90 days and cleared when new counts are recorded. Your choice is stored on your device so we can respect it; use Privacy settings to change it at any time. Declining does not affect enquiries. To limit spam and abusive requests, we temporarily store a daily hashed network address and request count, expiring after 24 hours and cleared on subsequent requests. Raw network addresses are not stored in our application database. Our hosting provider may separately process IP addresses and request logs for delivery and security. Social links lead to services with their own privacy policies.
